Most people see the Bible as a Novel, and others see it as a history book. People occasionally get a strange and weird look when reading the Bible outside.

Some ask–why read the Bible? Why stress yourself trying to understand a ‘book’ you ain’t sure it’s true? Why deny yourself sleep all because of a Bible?

(When You Need God contains a plethora of Bible-related information)

Before shutting the door of your heart and letting the voice get into your head, here are ten reasons why you should read the bible every day.

1.   Reading the Bible gives you answers about God

“But grow in grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.” (2 Peter 3: 18).  The Bible opens one’s inner eyes to see and understand the ways of God.

2. It gives an uncommon insight that will give birth to an all-around transformation

“ And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good is, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” ( Romans 12:2).

3. It’s a daily map for living a glorious life

“One road leads home, and a thousand roads lead into the wilderness.” — C.S. Lewis —

The Bible is our map for life. We are simply travelers here on earth. “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” ( Isaiah 48:17).

4. It helps one endure present difficulties

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ( Exodus 15:2 )

 5. It assures victory amidst the storm that life may pose

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57)

6. Reading the Bible gives peace

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. (Philippians 4:6-7)

7.  It encourages a healthy and sin-free life

“Awake to righteousness, and     do not sin.” (1 Corinthians 15:34)

8. Reading the Bible reminds us of God’s promises

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”(Jeremiah 29:11)

9. Reading the Bible renews our minds to keep God’s will

“And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” (Colossians 3:10)

10. Reading the Bible gives us Authority

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.” ( Luke 9:1)

There is more to gain than lose. Keep reading the Bible.
