As his name has been nominated for the goal of the year, he is now a sports celebrity like Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez.
David Ball is one of the ten nominees that were released on Friday for the ceremony at the end of the year.
With the spectacular efforts Messi and Tevez are the two names in the list whereas Cristiano Ronaldo was left off thereby gave him less chance of winning a FIFA this year.
Along with the goal profiles, here is the complete list of nominees.
David Ball (Fleetwood Town)

Gonzalo Castro(Real Sociedad)
Well, the way Castro finished this season with the goal that of similar to Paolo Dio Canio for West Ham by hitting perfectly the long cross. Now no-one is going to say David Moyes does not instigate liquid football.
Alessandro Florenzi (Roma)
The long range efforts of Florenzi went off as he scored the goal against Barcelona. It was his long range effort as sailed in from the right wing.
Wendell Lira (Goianesia)
Lira started the game this year and kicked off the team move that was initiated by him only. All credit goes to Lira.
Carli Lloyd (USA)
Not only this season but in the history of Women’s World Cup, Lloyd made the most striking goal. Her audacious strike went straight off the goalkeeper.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
Messi has been nominated for his Copa Del Rey strike that was against Athletci Bilabo. However, there could have been more goals for nominations but that one was from near the halfway line to score.
Friendly goals are not the cup of tea for Puskas Award list. But thunderbolt of Mexes of a volley against Inter Milan is definitely on the list.
Macel Mdjeng (SC Paderborn 07)
This one is the volley again from another pre-season that made grade. Ndjeng was the striker against Bolton Wanderers the inside of central circle.
Esteban Ramirez (Sport Herediano)
That was one of the best skill showcased by Ramirez as he put himself nominated for this award. Firstly he rescued it through his chest, then it got on head before drifting the volley into top corner.
Carlos Tevez (Juventus)
The Pitch for Puskas Award is all set with the nominees from the footballers and young strikers of different background. The surprise nominee for this year’s FIFA Puskas Award is David Ball of Fleetwood Town. 25 year old Mancunian striker is the producer of stunning chip from the edge of penalty area in the side clash with Preston North End during the end of 2014/15 season.
